Two Metro Collegiate Alumni picked up in the 2019 MLB Player Draft

Metro Collegiate alumni and Missouri State junior Drew Millas was selected in the seventh round of the 2019 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft Tuesday afternoon, as the Oakland Athletics nabbed the Bears' All-American catcher with the 224th overall pick. While with Metro Collegiate, Drew played for Coach Rick Fiala (Bandits)

Another of the Bandits players was also selected in this years' draft, RHP Anthony Green. The 6'4" Green was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals. In 29 innings pitched this season, Anthony struck out 40 batters and only surrendered 3 earned runs for a stellar .093 ERA and 5 win vs. 0 loss record.

Congratulations and Best of Luck to both of these young men.
